Hydro Jetting
Drain & Sewer Clearing Technology
Hydro jetting uses highly pressurized water (up to 4000 PSI) to break up and remove grease, sludge, and even tree roots from sewer drainage pipes. Water this pressurized can clear away just about any obstruction. Think of hydro jetting as pressure washing for the inside of your pipes, only more powerful.
Effective for Clogs & Safe for Pipes
A blockage in a drain or sewer line can cause slow drains, standing water, or overflowing drains and toilets. When you have a clog, it is important to call a professional with the right equipment and knowledge to get rid of the blockage and keep it from coming back. Hydro jetting is effective for many different types of clogs.
Hydro jetting can be used to remove:
- Hair
- Soap
- Grease and oil
- Food particles
- Mineral buildup
- Scale buildup
- Tree root infiltration
- Solid objects dropped down drains
When attempting to get rid of a clog, it is important to use a method that works well for the clog but is safe for your plumbing pipes. Unlike liquid drain cleaning products that contain toxic and corrosive chemicals, hydro jetting won’t damage your plumbing pipes.
The Hydro Jetting Process
Hydro jetting uses a high pressure stream of water to clean the interior walls of drains and plumbing pipes to remove debris that has built up inside the pipe. As the debris builds up inside the drainpipe, the diameter of the pipe is gradually made smaller. This impedes the flow of water down your drains. This slow draining water will eventually become entirely blocked. The hydro jetting system uses a high pressure stream of water to blast through the clog and clean the pipe.
The hydro jetter uses a hose with specialized nozzles that deliver pressurized water to the inside of your pipes. The system uses pressurized water of 5,000 psi or more to dislodge debris, mineral buildup, scale buildup, and other clogs. The water completely cleans out the inside of the pipe and washes debris away. The inside of the pipe is cleaned out completely, so you won’t have to worry about recurring clogs.
Find Out If Hydro Jetting Is Right for You
The hydro jetting process is safe and effective for plumbing pipes that are in good condition. However, if your pipes are corroded or your sewer line is badly damaged by tree roots or collapsed, the pipe may not be strong enough to withstand the water pressure that is used in this procedure. We always check out the condition of your pipes to make sure they are in good condition before getting started.
